The Ministry of Manpower released its yearly report on the Labour Market in 2019 on 30 January 2020. The report is based on the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey and analyses the employment, unemployment, incomes, and working hours of Singapore’s labour force.
Statistics from the Ministry of Manpower have shown that total employment in the construction sector grew by 12,800 in 2019, based on preliminary estimates. The increase of 12,800 is welcome news after three years of decline.
On 23 January 2020, the Ministry of Manpower released a Report: Singapore Citizens in the Labour Force, an occasional paper which analyses the performance of Singapore citizens in the labour force and changes over time. In this case, the report drew from the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey to remark on changes in the Singapore labour situation from 2009 to 2019
